Please help me get reelected as a delegate to the California State Democratic Party Convention.
I believe the Democratic Party can be an important vehicle to improve the lives of regular people, but ONLY if we organize to make it so. For the last 6 years I’ve represented the progressive politics of this area in the California State Democratic Party as a delegate to the Party’s annual convention. I’ve helped build the network of grassroots activists in the party, promoted progressive resolutions, endorsements and candidates, and in the words of Paul Wellstone, helped “represent the democratic wing of the Democratic Party.”
We’ve just come off a successful fall election effort to raise the minimum wage in San Jose where I was on the campaign’s steering committee. I’d like to help bring about this kind of change to the East Bay and to the rest of the state, in part through our work in the Democratic Party.
This Sunday, I’m running for reelection as a convention delegate from the 15th Assembly District. I’m pleased to be running as part of a slate of activists from the Wellstone Democratic Club, Labor, and the progressive grassroots of the District. And I’m asking for your support by voting for me and our slate of 6 men and 6 women, and/or by getting your friends and family who live in the District to turn out and vote.
Any registered Democrat in the 15th Assembly District can participate in this process by showing up in person to cast a vote. Please come this Sunday anytime from 12pm to 2pm. (You don’t have to stay the entire time).
How it works:

(You can confirm that you are in the 15th AD here: http://www.smartvoter.org)
Where do you show up to vote? 3075 Adeline St., First Floor, Berkeley (the Ed Roberts Campus, directly above the Ashby BART Station) (ADA accessible)

Please show up if you live in AD 15, and bring your friends and family to vote. And please forward this email to your friends in the District.
If you give me ten minutes, I’ll give you two years of continued progressive representation and work in the Democratic Party. Thank you for your continued support!
